Closing the Autumn/Winter fashion season in style, Christian Louboutin returned home for Paris Fashion Week, adding a Red Soled finishing touch to the runway shows of two of our favorite designers - Olympia Le-Tan and Martin Grant.
Fierce yet fragile, bold but feminine, the Olympia Le-Tan woman became a possessed pin-up for AW15, channeling Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale The Red Shoes in three different styles created by Christian Louboutin. Like “ballerinas on mushrooms” to the sounds of Kate Bush, the collection mixed silk and chiffon with swan motifs, nutcracker prints, and feather crowns, embodying a youthful-yet-macabre aesthetic. With all-nude manicures from Christian Louboutin Beauté, the laced and ribboned shoes that carried the models stayed true to the fairy tale inspiration, evoking a darkly whimsical world of dancers who moved to a different tune.
Stepping out of folklore and into the formal, designer Martin Grant presented an AW15 Ready-to-Wear collection that was all about the details. Asymmetrical zippers, Mongolian wool, and metallic silk combined for a chic amalgam of texture play and redefined silhouettes. Ladylike luxury with a touch of attitude, it was only fitting that our iconic Fifi accompanied the line, joined by Gaetanina, a neo-classic in Louboutin World, available this autumn.
We’re happy to report that wherever your runway, it’s a great time to be a Louboutin woman!
