For Halpern Fall/Winter 2018, glittering miniskirts, embellished t-shirts and dazzling flares made their statement as a dazzling interpretation of ‘inappropriate glamour’ set the London Fashion Week scene aflame.
With a rough, raw backdrop, dressed in pink plastic– Halpern’s runway set and collection paid homage to the grit and glamour of New York City, designer Michael Halpern’s hometown. Created specially for the collection, Christian Louboutin customised three styles for Halpern’s runway: mules in electric hues and cascading sequins inspired by Spring/Summer 2018 design elements, including the sculptural new Gueridon heel. Mules, similar to style Miss Daisy, thigh high and ankle boots were made to match the collection in exotic fabrics and textures, and ankle boots adorned in Halpern’s AW18 zebra flip motif reflected Michael Halpern's creative vision of a silhouette freeze-framing the fleeting moments of ease embodied in the movement of eveningwear.
